About Jay Adams
I’m a self-taught designer living just outside of Boston with my husband, Trevor, and our two children. My approach to design is shaped by a lifelong exposure to making, building, and creative problem-solving.
Beauty runs in my family. My mother is an artist and was my middle school art teacher. My father was both a sculptor and a contractor. Together, they designed and built the home I grew up in—a house we now live in again, with my mother on the property in an ADU. That layered history continues to influence how I think about homes: as evolving places, shaped over time by the people who live in them.
My brother, cousins, aunts, and grandmother are all makers in their own right. I’ve been lucky to grow up—and continue to be surrounded by—people who value beauty and understand its quiet but powerful role in daily life.
You may be here because that resonates with you. Or perhaps you’re looking to create more beauty, ease, and intention in your own space. Either way, I’d love to learn more about what you’re hoping to build.
